Tonight, I decided to keep my workout brief. I did not pick any Crossfit workouts because I was feeling sore and I was going into this workout tired. Also, I may have pinched something in my neck because my neck and upper back was feeling quite knotted. It still feels knotted and I'm hoping that with some sleep it works itself out...
After getting off the train, I headed straight home and grabbed some clothes before heading off to the Y. I decided that I would do light cardio when I got there. Upon arriving, I quickly changed and got on the track.
I warmed up with one kilometre of jogging. Once the warmup was complete, I did some track technique drills. They included all the stuff I learned in high school, as well as a couple drills that I learned from watching the DVD Lorene loaned me - "Evolution Runner" (I think that's the title). Once that was complete, I hopped on the Concept II rowing machine and rowed for 1000m. It took me 5:36.17. Normally, I would break five minutes by seconds. However, the MP3 player had fallen from the neoprene sleeve and I had to rescue it before the device and the headphones got caught in the sliding seat.
I then tested the wrist by doing the assisted pull ups. No problem there... I think that I will test applying pressure during a yoga class - this weekend perhaps...
Once the workout was completed, I caught up with Lorene for a bit before getting ready to head home where I had dinner and some yoghourt. A large mug of ginger tea will help me to go to sleep...
On deck for tomorrow - Swimming... As long as my neck/back release and I feel no pinching...
