Man... Am I Ever Tired...

For those of you who know me well, my revelation was a long time coming... I am usually regarded as the tough girl who will dig deep and exhaust all reserves when the going gets tough. I strive to achieve at all costs. I definitely attribute this revelation to this past weekend's activities and will be calling it a rest day today.

Yesterday was a struggle for me in more ways than one. I struggled to get through the work day and keep the exhaustion at bay. When I left the office, I decided to forge on ahead and get my pool run in so that I could loosen up my legs from the past weekend's efforts.

I got 45 minutes in the water this time around because I started late. I was using a different belt this time and I realised that I was working harder - especially when we were laughing. Lorene and I talked about our weekend activities, compared notes, and had a few good laughs. We also discussed nutritional strategy. I am beginning to feel that I am in the hole where nutrition is concerned. I will be starting to chart my food intake during training to see where I am lacking.

Tonight is the night where the most I will do is catch up on domestic chores, poke around online and... Sleep early...
