I made it to the gym last night when I got home from work. My first mission was to secure a treadmill and start running. I was in luck as I was able to get on one within ten minutes.
I set the timer to 60 minutes on the "Cross Country 3" programme and started moving. Since the hills for this profile was intense, a lot of it was spent building up my walking legs on the hill portions. In the end, I finished the session in 65 minutes (including cooldown) and covered 5.26 miles.
My mp3 player had some cool tunes to motivate me. I like music from different genres. Last night I was listening to some ambient trance, house music - including DJ compilations, R&B, and rock/alternative. I like to mix it up and will be looking to invest in an iPOD to help me out with this.
After the run, I did some core work which included abs and even a set of assisted deadlifts using the Smith Press machine before stretching and chatting with Lorene, who finished her swim session, prior to heading home.
