Well, after a busy Saturday, I found myself really tired at the end of it all. I was doing my Energy Exchange duty at Kula but had almost zero energy. What should have been a three hour job, dragged on for close to five. It got to the point where I started feeling dizzy and had to lie down for ten minutes to recharge. My main mistake was not taking in enough calories and fluids to compensate for the volume and intensity of my run that day.
As soon as I came home, I hit the sack and did not move from the bed until noon today. I was too exhausted. I had wanted to go up north but the temperatures did not rule in my favour and I did not want to be battling a fierce windchill the whole time I was snowshoeing or cross country skiing out there. Oh well, I will be out there before long...
Once I rolled out of bed, I immediately got something to eat. First, it was a cheese sandwich. Shortly afterwards, I had a bowl of oatmeal with almond milk and ground flax. I then caught up on domestic chores and had a chat with my mother before getting ready to head to Kula for my weekly meeting with my fellow "40 Days to Personal Revolution" participants. We had an elightening session where I was beginning to experience some minor shifts in my own life. By that, I mean that I was beginning to see that there is some meaning to events that are happening in my life right now. I could have gotten a yoga practise in after the meeting but I elected to head out instead.
On the way home, I stopped off at Chapters book store and got a couple books - a couple of them written by Barrack Obama, and Don Miguel Ruiz's third book. I am definitely looking forward to ready those books, plus the other books that I have purchased over the last month.
Another thing to note - my phone lost all battery power last night. I did not put it on the charger until I got home tonight. Basically, I was without a phone for the day and I was not bombarded with text messages. I was ok with that. Maybe I should do that more often...
Monday, here I come!
