Friday night... A night that signifies the start of another weekend. A time when bedtimes can be defied in favour of sleeping in the next morning...
A group of us decided to celebrate last Friday night. Anna was kind enough to take the initiative to invite a bunch of us out for a night of bonding through conversation. Six of us ladies were able to come up with a mutual date and time and we were on our way.
When Friday night rolled around, we each had something to talk about and celebrate as four of us gathered in The Symposium Cafe (two of them couldn't make it at the last minute). We each arrived at different times. I was the third to arrive and met up with Kyla and Leah after I sweated it out and connected with my inspiring teacher and dearest friend, Pino. Anna arrived last after meeting with owners and instructors of the new up and coming studio, Yoga City.
What an awesome time we had! The four of us connected and allowed ourselves to really open up and share what has been coming up in our respective lives - our fears, our goals, our perceived obstacles, and our triumphs. Time really flies when fun is had as we were at The Symposium until closing time :)
We have started something here. Now we are looking to have another outing in the next week. It all turns out that a celebration is to be had for each of us. We look forward to reconnecting and following up with each other.
This event is something I look forward to repeating. It lines up nicely with my intention to forage a solid connection with my community, and those in it. I may not be overly social, but it does help to have a network of friends that I can call on in intimate gatherings to share and celebrate life.
