I finally got the opportunity to play at PowerYoga Canada tonight. It was quite a sweet night to play. While the outdoor temperatures started taking a nosedive, we were all turning up the heat and sweating with the flow.
I decided to get out there and start practising Baptiste style tonight when it hit me that I have not practised that style in months. I also realised that I was missing the lessons that are learned while flowing. Heck, I also missed Kinndli!
After taking care of some stuff here at home, I drove down to the studio. I was lucky to find parking at the door because it was cold out there. After walking up three flights of stairs, I was greeted by Kinndli who was out in the waiting area with some of the other students. There was another class wrapping up and we had to wait until the final Om before entering. Upon entering, I signed the waiver, registered, and immediately got changed for class. After playing with Rocco the Pomeranian, I staked my claim to a spot on the floor and prepped for class.
The guest teacher was Kristi, a teacher who teaches in New York. Kristi was definitely on fire as she lead us through the sequence of poses for an hour. It was all good - the flow, the music, and the energy. Even though I could not hold all of the poses and was feeling exhausted, I was still loving it all.
After class concluded, I quickly headed back home where I am now - typing this post while sipping on a mug of hot water with lemon while reliving the flow and looking forward to doing it again...
