I attempted to get out of the office so that I could make it to the gym for a light workout and some heat. Well... that did not happen at all.
I was on fire at the office yesterday. It seems like when you are off work for one day, something has to go wrong and you are stuck being the one to clean it up. I had a moment with one of my colleagues to really hash things out and things seem to be straightening themselves out now...
After leaving the office, I met up with Manley in the concourse at the train station and we awaited the arrival of his scheduled train. As usual, we were chatting about an assortment of things, including his recent acquisition of a Cadbury Easter Egg (Smart Car), and the anticipated arrival of Big Dave next week when two of the regular conductors book off for the March Break. Well, where that is concerned, it depends on if Dave puts in the bid and is not bid out by someone more senior to him. It also depends on how much fun he is having working on the hump and pushing over boxcars in the yard. The new railway lesson of the evening was how to tell if the train you are on is going to crossover to another track. Now, instead of relying on just the signals to dictate how the train travels, the challenge will be to see how the switches are lined up on the track. This tells you which set of lights to watch on multiple rail tracks. With the extended daylight, I will have all summer to figure this one out.
When I got home, I grabbed my workout gear and some CDs before heading to the basement. Because of the time, i decided it would be best if I biked instead. My brother was using the DVD player so I basically did some freestyle spinning to the beats that my CD offered at the time. I spent a total of about 40 minutes on the bike before getting off and stretching. I was feeling a bit winded but that was kind of expected. I ensured that I was well hydrated for the ride and made sure I changed into dry clothing before heading upstairs to nibble and shower.
Tonight's plan calls for some yoga. My neck is not 100%. In fact, it was feeling quite tight and I nearly pulled it again this morning. If the vinyasas aggravate it, I will skip them all together. In fact, I will most likely skip headstands altogether. We shall see...
